Tell us about your work with seabirds.
I enjoy researching the ecology and energetics of seabirds and their influence on the marine ecosystems that they inhabit. In my current roles, I am investigating the movement ecology of tropical seabirds and their influence on nutrient transfer and coral reef ecology.
What advice would you offer to individuals aspiring to pursue a career as seabird scientists?
Try and make the most of being part of such an energetic community of researchers, maybe by joining a group like The Seabird Group or the Pacific Seabird Group, both of which I have found to be really welcoming. Carry lots of snacks.
