Tell us about your work with seabirds.

For my PhD, I'm studying different aspects of partnership in a long-lived seabird, the thick-billed murre. I'm looking at how movement, behaviour, genetics of breeding partners influences reproductive success. I'm also the crew lead of the Coats Island research station.

What advice would you offer to individuals aspiring to pursue a career as seabird scientists?

It's possible to do anything. Don't be afraid to contact researchers in the field and make connection at different time or moment. Say yes to any opportunities to work in different environment.
